Where?
"mishmash", 2321, 17th Cross, 27th main, Sector 1, HSR Layout.
What?
mishmash, as the name suggests, is true to its tag line - "a bit of everything", with a menu ranging from Indian to Continental and Mexican.
The Grub:
Murgh Jhangri
Murgh Tikka Lal Mirch
Clam Sukka
Chicken Biryani
Insalata Mista
Lasagne Verdure
Lasagne Della Casta
Well, most of the stuff was above average. My friends were more than happy with the Murgh starters but not so much with the Clam Sukka, which had more sukka than the clam meat. Chicken Biryani was a disappointment - although the rice itself was flavorful and smelled refreshing, the amounts of spice didn't quite reach the expectations (which, by the way, can be subjective) but the chicken pieces didn't really taste fresh.
The Insalata Mista was a fine salad with generous amounts of lettuce and cheese and with a few olives and baby tomatoes thrown in too. Same can be said of the two Lasagnas which tasted more than good with copious amounts of cheese.
The service has nothing to write any extremities about. The waiters were prompt and clean, albeit with restrained and clamped faces. The place itself was very neat (obviously, since it was opened only a week ago) with good ambience and a fine location. A late evening on the terrace would do wonders!
The meal for three came to 1410 including taxes.
They also serve chats, breakfast and burgers.
